Tiny Vehicle CO Alarm with Electrochemical Sensor, Car Safety Alarm
Carbon monoxide (carbon monoxide, CO) is a colorless, odorless and tasteless gas. When CO enters the human body, it will combine with the hemoglobin in blood, then the hemoglobin cannot combine with oxygen, thus causing tissue hypoxia, leads to human dies of suffocation, so CO is toxic. Since CO is colorless, odorless and tasteless, it's easy to be ignored and result in poisoning. CO exists in household with poor ventilation, coal gas, liquefied gas pipe leak, as well as from industrial production and coal mine. In modern life, with car number increasing, to monitor CO concentration inside the car and raise the alert for being poisoned is becoming more and more important and necessary.
CO inside the vehicle is mainly from the exhaust gas when the engine is running, when the car engine runs in high-speed state, the CO concentration is very low, but when engine is raced in idling state, the burning is inefficient, the CO concentration will be increased, if air conditioner is turned on when the car is parked and windows closed, air in the car can only convect through air conditioner, then CO gas generated by the engine will flow inside the car through air condition system, CO will accumulate more and more, plus carbon dioxide exhausted by human, with time goes by and oxygen concentration decreasing, human will be poisoned unconsciously. So to equip a carbon monoxide alarm in your car is very necessary.
Size: 72.5*46.8*14.8mm
Weight: 45g (without battery), 50.8(with battery)
Sensor: electrochemical sensor from Nemoto, Made in Japan, lifetime is more than 5 years
Power source: 2*CR2032
Lifetime of batteries: 9 months under static working state
Display: display co concentration and battery power
LED indicator:
Blue indicator--power indicator: flashes every 30 seconds, indicating working is normal
Red indicator--alarm indicator: when alarm triggered, red LED flashes fast
Buzzer: sound alarm, 70dB at 1m
Other parameters:
Static working state current: < 30uA alarm state current: < 6mA
working temperature: 4ºC-38ºC working humidity: 25%-85%
Operation
Display: displays CO concentration and battery power, when co concentration is less than 50ppm, without operation for 6s, display will shut off, when co concentration is more than 50ppm, display will activate automatically.
Static working mode indicator: Blue LED will flash every 30s, it indicates working is normal.
Alarm mode: red LED flashes rapidly, buzzer sounds
Low battery alarm mode: when battery power becomes low, the battery icon on the display will flash, even when the display shuts off, the battery icon will still flash, at the same time, the buzzer will sound "do-do" every 30s.
Test: under static working mode, long press button for 3s, red LED flashes, buzzer sounds "do", it indicates co alarm is working good.
Reset: under alarm mode, press this button to stop and cancel the alarm, time accumulation will start from beginning. If co concentration becomes 400ppm or higher, alarm will not be stopped, instead, it will keep on alarming.
Suggested location to put this device:
Hanging on the vehicle rear-view mirror or any place where does not block driver's sight.
Notice: Do not make device's back side close to other objects, so as not to affect the normal working of sensor and buzzer sound spread.
Battery replacement
Open the battery cover using a coin, spin the battery cover 30°towards the direction of "OPEN", then replace the 2 batteries and spin the battery cover 30°towards the direction of "CLOSE"

Treatment of carbon monoxide poisoning:
Any person who is suspected of having a carbon monoxide poisoning should leave the potentially dangerous environment, immediately breathe fresh air, and see a doctor. Acute carbon monoxide poisoning is usually treated by oxygen breath method, when the poisoning is serious (such as conscious disorder) must be treated by the doctor.
Special reminder:
No matter when the car is marched or parked, you'd better not run the air conditioner too long time, but if it's required, open the window and let the air convect. Once human feel uncomfortable, stop the car immediately, open the door and window to breath fresh air.
